All the cars on our website are owned by Silver Star Wedding Cars and can be viewed by appointment. We are not a wedding car broker or agency, this means you will receive continuity of service from first booking with us through to your wedding day.

Our Service - Church / Registry Office Wedding - Hire charge from £330

 

Our traditional wedding car hire, your wedding car will arrive at your residence approximately 20 minutes prior to the departure time specified on your itinerary provided by Silver Star Wedding Cars. Your chauffeur will transport the bride and father of the bride (person giving the bride away) to the church / registry office. The car will remain at the church / registry office and then transport the bride and groom on to the reception venue. Your chauffeur will remain at the reception venue for any photographic requirements. Your chauffeur will then congratulate the happy couple and depart. There may be an additional trip to church / registry office for the bridal party (bridesmaids, mother of the bride) prior to the bride and father of the bride, (see how many cars do I require).

Civil Ceremony - Ceremony held at your reception venue

As weddings have changed and evolved over the years with the implementation of new laws. We often find ourselves providing our services for the bridal party or the groom’s party to the venue where the bride is staying and getting married. Although things have changed we often find that our bride and grooms still love many of the old traditions, this includes a vintage car from a bygone era.

Civil Ceremony - Standard Service - Hire charge from £295

Our standard civil ceremony package offers a beautiful wedding car to chauffeur either the bride and Father of the bride (person giving the bride away) or the grooms party to your wedding venue. Your wedding car will arrive at your residence approximately 20 minutes prior to the departure time specified on your itinerary provided by Silver Star Wedding cars. Your chauffeur will then transport the party to the venue, your wedding car will then remain at your venue until after your ceremony for photographs directly after your ceremony. Your wedding car will then depart.

Civil Ceremony - Full Service - Hire charge from £330

With our full civil ceremony package, your wedding car will arrive at your residence approximately 20 minutes prior to the departure time specified on your itinerary provided by Silver Star Wedding cars. Your chauffeur will transport the bride and father of the bride (person giving the bride away) to the ceremony. The car will remain at the place of ceremony (your reception venue). After your ceremony your chauffeur will take the bride and groom for a drive around the local area to enjoy our drinks service and some time alone together before returning to your guests at your reception venue. Your chauffeur will remain for any photographic requirements. Your chauffeur will then congratulate the happy couple and depart. There may be an additional trip to your place of ceremony for the bridal party (bridesmaids, mother of the bride) prior to the bride and father of the bride. (see how many cars do I require). This package can also be used for the grooms party if the bridal party are staying at the venue.

How many cars do I require?

The general requirement for a wedding is two cars for the bride and bridal party and possibly an additional car for the grooms party.

 

The Bridal Car - This will transport the bride and father of the bride (or person giving the bride away) to her ceremony, then after the ceremony the bride and groom on to the reception venue. 

Attendants car - This will transport the mother of the bride, bridesmaids and pageboys.

 

One Car - If only one car is required for a wedding, generally we take the bridesmaids and mother of the bride in the first trip and then the bride and father of the bride in the second trip. (this would depend on the distance from the residence leaving from to the church / ceremony venue) and package. 

 

We do not recommend using one vehicle for multiple trips to the ceremony, if one person in the prior trips is not ready on time this will have a knock on effect and subsequently make the bride late for her wedding. This will delay proceedings and causes a great deal of stress to the bride.

 

Child Passengers?

All our cars are fitted with seat belts and therefore child car seat laws must be adhered to at all times and therefore any children travelling under three years of age and under 15kg in weight must be seated in their own car seat provided and fitted on the day by the parent or guardian (to ensure correct fitting), under no circumstances whatsoever will any child under the age of three (under 15kg in weight) be permitted to travel on the booked day if a car seat is not available. Booster seats for children aged between 3 years of age (15kg and over in weight) and 12 years or under 135cm tall, (where fitting is possible) will be provided on the day. The laws regarding child car seats can be found at https://www.gov.uk/child-car-seats-the-rules .  Please note: Booster seats are placed in the vehicles in regards to how many children are traveling on the agreed itinerary, if there are any additional children on the day they will be unable to travel if there is no booster seat available.

Our booking process

 

  • Firstly please telephone to arrange a viewing, or you are more than welcome to book by telephone, all major credit / debit cards are accepted. Payment of the deposit confirms your booking with Silver Star Wedding Cars. Please note: an enquiry of our vehicles does not equate to a booking. Unfortunately we do not take provisional bookings.

  • Upon booking you will be provided with a booking fee receipt and booking confirmation form. We will also provide you with your booking details, you are more than welcome to contact us at any time up to your booked date. There may be alterations to your booking that you may need to discuss.

 

  • Approximately two months prior to your booked date your booking details (once again) with an itinerary of travel and and ribbon samples (for bow and ribbon) will be provided.

 

  • Up to your booked date we continuously check with the highways agency for any road closures, diversions and road works (that may cause delay) and our routes are  meticulously  planned. We also check for any events that are planned in the area that may impact on travel times and routes. 

 

  • Your wedding car / cars will arrive on the day approximately 20 minutes prior to the departure time of the first trip stated on your itinerary. Your chauffeur will let you know that they have arrived, dress your car with your hand made bow and then inform you five minutes before departure.  

 

Our drinks service

Professionalism and high standards of service means everything to us at Silver Star Wedding Cars. We provide our happy couples with a wonderful drinks service with an added little touch...... shhh (a surprise for your wedding day) We do not hold a alcohol license and therefore do not supply alcoholic beverages. The reason for this is that we keep our cars at our residence and do not wish to hold a premises license on our property. 

However !!! 

We have tirelessly searched (not just the UK) for an alternative and we have found the most wonderful non-alcoholic champagne produced by the world's leading champagne expert Richard Juhlin....... and it is terrific. This enables us to provide a wonderful champagne service without breaking the law.

We use just two products, Richard Juhlin or Carl Jung, both have a wonderful balance and taste.
